Energy Warrior is a substandard shoot-em-up by Mastertronic. The aim of the game is to blast hordes of aliens over three zones, each split into smaller areas to complete the game. It may have nice graphics and sound, but unfortunately it is a very, very dull game. There’s not a lot to say here. We’ve all seen this a million times before…
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Neil: Using an infinite lives and smart bombs cheat.
Vinny: I have since created a crazy hack for this game that has 20 extra in-game features; one of them being the game ending. You can download the crazy hack from the link area above.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once the final zone is clear you get a short message saying ‘STORMING GAMEPLAY. REGIONS SAVED. GET READY‘, and then the game starts over.
Neil: Don’t tell me they couldn’t fit an end in there somewhere… Complete crap. 1/10.
Vinny: I remember buying this one back in the day because the graphics on the cassette inlay looked superb. When I got the game home and loaded it up, I was pleasantly surprised because the music was cool too. Unfortunately, it stops there. The game itself is a substandard shoot-em-up and gets boring very quickly as there are no other elements to keep you occupied.
With regards to the ending… erm, what ending would that be?! 0.5/10 from me.
Andrew Fisher: Searching for ending… Text page found… Low score error… Ready for the next one.
Andy Vaisey: Dull game with unforgivable ending.
Brendan Phoenix: My energy is drained from looking at this sad excuse for a game end.
FINAL SAY: No energy left in this one!
G.E. RATING: 1 / 10
