This game reminds me of the classic arcade shoot-em up, 1942. So which came first?
The game isn’t particularly great to play and is marred by it’s poor controls. It does, however, have some nice visuals and some really cool music by Barry Leitch. I must admit that I too completed the game using the cheats, but I’ll leave it up to Brendan to explain the ending…
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Cheated all the way through with a level skip – I love them!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: A tune kicks along with some scrolling credits whilst your ship is sailing along in the sky in the middle of the screen. Nice touch at the end as it tips to one side and shoots off into the distance.
Brendan: Nice ending – faithful to the arcade original – so cannot really be faulted. Toughie this to score – nothing outstanding about it, nothing bad either.
Vinny: A cool ending. Nice parallax and a good use of the scroller. It also has a game ending tune 🙂 7/10 from me.
FINAL SAY: Slightly above average.
G.E. RATING: 6 / 10
