Had a bash at this graphic text adventure by Datasoft…
It teased me all the way through with some good animation on the screens, okay little spot FX, etc – just had a feeling that it was leading up to a big disappointment, but no – we have a good ending that is in keeping with the rest of the game…
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Brendan followed a walkthrough.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you have thrown the skull at The Evil One, the game ending kicks in with an epilogue, animation and a graphical ending screen – all accompanied by a hilarious ending tune.
Brendan: Above average ending – even more shocking considering what we usually see from this type of game. Spot FX, animation, a little ending tune and a separate ending piccy and a little text. All in all – not half bad. 7/10.
Vinny: Wow! I just didn’t expect it to have a good ending like this. Okay – so it isn’t polished, but it certainly is a good one. I can’t help listening to the ending tune; it’s hilarious! And as for the closing animation… I’m sure one of them is masturbating!! 7/10 from me too.
Andrew Fisher: There has clearly been some effort put into this ending, which is nice to see. For the time it is good, and for the genre it is great.
Andy Vaisey: Well that’s a pleasant, unexpected surprise! Not bad either, if you view the GFX through slightly ‘out-of-focus’ glasses.
Gaz Spence: This looks like a nicely put together text adventure if the ending is anything to go by. Being so used to seeing Quill made efforts, it’s easy to knock the genre in general but credit where’s credit due…
FINAL SAY: You’ll be pleasantly surprised 🙂
