Gaz Spence sent us this game ending in a format that didn’t seem to want to work. But with a few hints and tips on how to create a .PRG file using the Action Replay cartridge, he was flying in no time.
E-motion wasn’t really a game that I jumped at when it was first released back in 1990. I do remember the hype about it, but then I got to read ZZAP 64’s review and thought I would give the game a wide birth. I did eventually give it a go, but it just didn’t seem to capture my attention and hold it long enough for me to complete the game. Lucky for us that Gaz was on the case and decided to complete the game for us…
emotion1
The final two balls are pushed together.
emotion2
An explosion of balls…
emotion3
…signifies the end.
emotion4
“CONGRATULATIONS”
emotion5
The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Gaz was a little naughty and used a trainer that allowed him to skip 49 levels! (“MY MAN!“).
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once the final two balls collide (ouch!), we see a firework display of coloured balls, along with the ending message, “CONGRATULATIONS.” The game then reverts back to the highscore table.
COMMENTS:
Vinny: There really isn’t much to it, which doesn’t surprise me. Could have had a Mark Tait ending tune to boost it a little.
Andrew Fisher: Oh dear, really disappointing to end like that!
I enjoyed the game, as well as ZZAP’s maps of the levels created using sweets!
FINAL SAY: The ending is short and not particularly sweet.

G.E. RATING: 2 / 10
