When I first got the covertape from Commodore Format 9, this was one of the first games that I played from the tape – it took hours to drag me away from it again! A truly wonderful game with a whole host of stunning weapons, graphics, and sounds – not to mention some great playability :); and all for £2.99 (when it was first released!)
Well, after a long battle through the game’s many impressive levels, you finally escape with your ship in this not so bad ending… see for yourself….

Run Zamzara … RUN!
zamzara2
“Ah shit! I left my ship keys back on level 6!”
zamzara3
“Oh, here they are! I left them in the ignition all along”
zamzara4
A nice little “congrats” message, signing the end of a cracking game. The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Used a cheat!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:  You hero makes a run for his ship. Once inside, the ship takes off to safety. The final end message reads: “CONGRATULATIONS. YOUR MISSION WAS SUCCESSFUL.” This is all accompanied by a cool ending tune.
COMMENTS: It’s a nice and satisfying game ending that should impress anyone playing through the game.
FINAL SAY: A nice little ending for a nice little game 🙂

G.E. RATING: 7 / 10

  1. Great to see the time and effort put in to an ending for a game that cost a mere £3 back in the 80’s. I remember when Hewson announced their Rack It range and Slayer and Zamzara were bought day one and I still own those copies to this day.

This game could have easily been released for £6 or so back when, great game (bit tough) but worthwhile and great ending
