I,Ball 2 takes a different approach to the original vertical scrolling Shoot-Em-Up style of I,Ball and turns it into a multi-screen platform-esque style game. With little less emphasis on the graphics and a little more thought on the game play, I,Ball 2 was definitely a worthy sequel – especially at the incredible price of £1.99! Sequels are not always a good idea, but in the case of I,Ball 2, this is an exception to the rule. It’s a GREAT game that takes an AGE to complete (if you ever get to complete it!)
So after playing through the 50 levels (with the cheat), was it all worth it? …
Here’s the final level.
That’s it?!?!? The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Same as I,Ball 1, I have never completed this game without cheating!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you have completed the final level (50), an extra message appears that reads: “CONGRATULATIONS YOUR QUEST IS COMPLETE.”
Vinny: This game ending is very similar to the ending for I,Ball 1. Just do yourself a favour and have a quick look at the screen shots above and then move on. 1/10.
Andrew Fisher: I never enjoyed this as much as the first game, but there are some interesting ideas (like the random selection of screens as you progress).
Once again it was fairly obvious there would be no big celebratory screen at the end.
Brendan Phoenix: Agreed, just not on the same level as the first game – only thing similar is the rubbish ending….Oh No!!!
FINAL SAY: Avoid at all costs (the ending, not the game).
