Call Me Psycho has quite an apt name, as you need to me a nutter to play it…
This game is a very boring multiscreen arcade game in the style of Green Beret. In fact, it’s a complete rip off of Green Beret (“I’d go as far as to say it’s a ‘poor mans’ version of Green Beret!” – Vinny). There are seven levels of repetitive action to run through in order to complete the game.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Using an infinite lives cheat.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you exit the last level via the right of the screen, you get a bizarre congratulations message (see above screenshots), telling you about Hands De Jabberwocky not getting his BMX bikes or shiny pebbles?!?! I think the author must have been sniffing petrol at the time of writing this. He’s as mad as a spanner sandwich if you ask me. The game title makes even more sense now.
Neil: It’s got an end, all be it a strange one. 2/10.
Vinny: WOW! This game is a bit of a car-crash! There simply is no game play involved whatsoever and you literally control a soldier who just goes from screen to screen to screen… and so on. I’m really surprised this one was put out there into the commercial world – but then again, I have seen worst! I suppose they released it thinking that lovers of Green Beret would bite! I do like the tunes though, but as for the graphics, they are dire!
As for the ending, nothing much than a bouncy screen. Not even an ending tune 😦 1.5/10 from me.
FINAL SAY: If you enjoy the ramblings of a mad man, then this is the ending for you.
